Bartering System From Hell
Not knocking the bartering concept folks but this one's pretty unusual.
Alternative recording artist Kelis, who in the past year, has both given birth and gone through a divorce from rapper NAS. While seeking a pretty hefty alimony settlement (I believe she was eventually awarded $50K/month), she needed to get back to work. Since NAS is somewhere between Jay-Z and JJ Fad (they made that Supersonic song back in 1987/88), meaning he may or may not have THAT kind of green.
Anyway, Kelis got producers for her new CD, Fleshtone, to work for food . Now, she did graduate from culinary school between recordings but are times that hard? Really? As much as I loooove to eat (believe me, I've got the hips to show it) and watch the Food Channel, you would have to pay me to eat anything cooked by someone with pink hair and black eyebrows.
